SUCCESS - UNION JACKS BEING FLOWN ON WAR MEMORIALS.

Last week we highlighted (as did a few other residents) and were alerted to the fact that the Union Jack was not being flown on the new D-Day memorial at Stokes Bay
After various emails by a number of our campaigners and supporters the council has today confirmed their position when it comes to war memorials and the flying of Union Jacks from the poles.
The D-Day memorial can fly a Union Jack all year round - and rightly so!
It’s a great opportunity to mention the amazing team from the Gosport D-Day Fellowship (link to their page below) It took a years of fundraising and dedication to have this amazing memorial installed and to up keep it to the high standard it is today!
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM!
