What a difference a year makes!
When Paul Carter won the Bridgemary by election earlier this year, many people said it was just a protest vote. Fast forward to the May 2026 elections and Reform UK surged across Gosport, winning seats in Bridgemary, Elson, Forton, Grange & Alver Valley, Hardway, Rowner & Holbrook, Brockhurst & Privett, Town & Harbourside, and Leesland & Newtown.
This was not luck. It was local people sending a clear message that they are tired of wasteful spending, tired of being ignored, and tired of politics that puts party interests ahead of residents.
Our councillors are not career politicians. They are veterans, workers, parents, community campaigners, and local residents who simply decided Gosport deserves better.
And this is only the beginning.
Across the borough, Reform UK councillors are already getting to work listening to residents, challenging poor decisions, and standing up for common sense politics rooted in accountability, fairness, and pride in our community.
Gosport voted for change.
Now the real work begins!!!
