A TURNING POINT FOR GOSPORT POLITICS

The result in Bridgemary marks a significant moment for Reform UK Gosport and for local democracy. With the election of our first councillor in Gosport, the Liberal Democrat administration has lost its automatic majority, changing how decisions will now be made at Gosport Borough Council.

This matters because council decisions can no longer be taken for granted.

Proposals will need to stand up to proper scrutiny, debate, and accountability — giving residents a stronger voice in how Gosport is run.

This election also marks a major step forward for Reform UK locally. Going from never having stood in Gosport to winning a council seat shows that residents are ready for a credible alternative to the established parties.

This is only the beginning. Our Reform UK Gosport campaign team is already building momentum ahead of the May elections, with the aim of electing more councillors and strengthening local representation across the borough.

Gosport politics has changed — and local people will be better served because of it.

Will Benjamin be active and about in the Alverstoke ward if he is elected and what issues will he be tackling within the ward if he is elected?
