MARKET FEES ARE GOING UP AGAIN!

That’s right — Gosport market traders are facing a 4.8% fee increase.

This rise was voted in by every single Lib Dem and Labour councillor at the last Gosport Borough Council full council meeting!

•  Market traders bring life, character, and footfall into our town

•  Many operate on tight margins

•  Higher fees mean higher prices or fewer traders

•  That’s bad for shoppers, bad for traders, and bad for Gosport

At a time when the high street needs support, increasing market trader fees does the exact opposite.

Markets should be encouraged — not squeezed. Gosport used to be the best on the south coast!

Strong markets mean strong town centres

HAVING SPOKEN TO THE REGULAR LONG SERVING TRADERS WE KNOW THEY ARE NOT HAPPY!
