We make no apologies for continuing to highlight this vanity project! However It just gets more and more expensive for residents.

A tender has now gone out for the roof at the Criterion Theatre — at a cost of £120,000 of public money!

Meanwhile, the real priorities are being ignored Hundreds of council-owned homes have gone without proper safety checks and:-

- Ongoing mould problems

- Leaking roofs left unfixed over Christmas

- No fire checks

- No electrical safety certificates

And then the big one

Gosport’s ONLY homeless shelter is due to be CLOSED due to funding cuts!

Who are the Lib Dem–run Gosport Borough Council blaming?

 Hampshire County Council.

So let’s get this straight:

- Sub-standard and unsafe council housing

- No homeless shelter

- £120,000 for a theatre roof

Our most vulnerable residents are being failed — and the council is passing the blame instead of taking responsibility.

The solution here is simple - stop spending on this vanity project and divert the ££ to where it is needed!

The tender for this can be found here:
